I think that long-term the intention is to make us an established mid-table Premier League side. That would mean a good season could get us into Europe and a bad one could see us relegated. Perhaps we are having a bad season!

Some fans have no patience with getting there, though. That said, it is frustrating seeing us not competing.

We’ve had one top half finish in the last 33 years. Saying we belong there seems a bit of a stretch and unrealistic aim.
