Malcys Wedding and TWTD Historical Highlights 09:14 - Mar 28 with 15753 viewsKeno

mention Malcys Wedding and Matts reply made me think there there are many 'newer' posters who may not be aware of some of TWTD's historical highlights so I thought maybe we should have special thread to showcase the best of TWTD's past

So what are TWTD's finest moments?

Returning to Malcy, his attempt to sue the club for not recogning his alternative Haverhill supporters club was epic, which, I believe ended with him stating that he couldn’t say anymore because “”It’s gone legal”

Do you mean the Independent Supporters Club of Haverhill or the Haverhill Independent Supporters Club?

His passion for obscure blues music was overwhelmimg. Didn’t he have the username Blind Willie Counago for a while?

There was a time when posting the surname Couñago without the tilde would have got you a flurry of downvotes.

Then there was the period when a few usernames had random 'j's in them in honour of our Lord Martijn Franciscus Reuser. Perhaps I should become WeWereZombijes...

I think it was the unofficial alternative independent Haverhill supporters club

From memory he banned Marcus Evans, even though ME had absolutely no idea who or what they were.

“Hello, I'm your MP. Actually I'm not. I'm your candidate. Gosh.” Boris Johnson canvassing in Henley, 2005.

Wasn’t the Marcus ban because he started making ex players pay for their half time drink, which Malcy took as some kind of personal insult

Didn't Dolly push a big rock off a cliff or something!

Someone has probably mentioned it but Lucan’s train journey being reported live was so funny.

Also I seem to remember an amusing Lucan post about a plane flight where either he or Mrs Lucan had to come back from a holiday early and the other one needed to be collected from the airport. From memory I think a poster from this forum picked them up.

Great thread - one of my favourites.
