If the relegation clause is true, then surely we don’t want him to get a full international call up. It won’t have any effect on his sale value, but potentially triggers an additional payment to Man City [Post edited 10 Apr 13:44]

But that was the buy-back clause (which I wouldn't have thought makes sense to be higher than the release clause) and with no thought to the contingency that we would be relegated. Which is likely to have dropped the price and may not even have been triggerable if we could stay up. |  |
