A random, bored, Thursday afternoon casino thought 13:53 - Apr 10 with 769 viewsTresBonne

I just Googled to see where the nearest casino to Bury St Eds is as we have some friends coming to stay who are big gamblers - thought it might be a fun evening.

Turns out the closest one is a Grosvenor in Great Yarmouth, and there is only one casino in the entirety of East Anglia? Are we not gamblers?! (Bar the crap slots/bingo places)

Must be a reason for that? If anyone has a spare million (or a few more) quid lying about, let's partner up, I fancy opening one now. Reckon I'd make a killing.

You've definitely come to the right site to seek gambling in investment.

I was up in Hull a couple of weeks ago, went to a Grosvenor Casino there. Went in the poker tournament for a laugh and somehow (God knows how) made it to the final! I was playing for hours. Started at 7pm and was still playing at 1am. Was getting bored of it. So I went all in on a pair of Ks in the end but lost on the river card which gave the other guy a pair of Aces.

Is a casino in Hull as desperate and unglamorous as it sounds?

Interesting - are those actually regulated though? I live in Leeds for most of the year and that's got 3 casinos in it that I know of, despite GC's website saying it can only have one. To be fair two are more on the outskirts, but still in Leeds.

Wasn't there a plan once upon a time to have a casino in the bottom of the town hall? We got a Waitrose instead. Council must have heard there were at least 3 people with gambling addiction issues in Ipswich so better not open a casino to protect them.
