Disappointing the way it happened, but a draw is decent result. 15:58 - Apr 13 with 958 viewsTheBoyBlue

Poor to yet again let a team back into a game, but generally a good performance.

Yes. Wolves result meant it really made no difference getting a win. That is a good result/performance.

We got into some nice attacking positions - some poor finishing from us but also from them also - Fernandez had a mare for them. It was a nice watch with no stress at least.

Absolutely.

After last weekend I would take us finishing this season playing as we did in the first half of the season, generally being hard to beat and grabbing the odd win. Today was a throwback to those days.

No stress?!

Hat's off.

I was bricking it from minute one. I really struggle watching when not at the game

I think it could be argued that we played better in the second half then the first. Nothing we could do about the equaliser.

Don't think we had much of a say in letting them back in today. Chelsea were troubling us consistently from the minute one. We took our chances brilliantly in the first half but it was far from a 0-2 performance.

This is a very useful point in the fight for 18th place, with Leicester still to play Southampton. Looking more likely again that we'll only need to not lose at the King Power.

Think the only criticism you really level at our players is letting them score so quickly. We needed to stay switched on and hold on much longer. Easier than done of course, especially against a team like Chelsea.

I think Soton will beat Leicester.

I'm leaning that way too though neither can be trusted to avoid defeat.

Think there's a lot of truth in what you say. A lot has been made of how bad we've been in second halves this season and there is also truth in that, but I wonder if also it's generally that teams sort themselves out in the second half and are just too good for us to contain.

It’s a shame we conceded so early after half time, I think they’d have got very frustrated if we kept it 2-0 going into the hour mark. In the end pleased not to lose it but we still carried a threat second half.

That's largely it for me, on top of the accumulation of mental and physical pressure taking its toll.

Making effective tactical tweaks is much easier when a team is more talented than their opponent, and we've seen plenty of that at HT. We've seen plenty of us being ahead against the run of play as well, arguably most times when we've found ourselves in front, and then we concede in the second half from that consistent flow of chances in the wrong direction, which always felt like a matter of time really with the glasses off.

Yep, when these teams get in their groove it is relentless, it must be so demanding for our defence mentally in particular.
