Real Madrid v Arsenal 19:50 - Apr 16 with 1752 viewsbluelagos

Can't decide who I want to win.

Madrid are proper horrible tossers (Rudiger - loads of money - spawny knobs) but would be funny as fck if Arsenal balls it up too.

Twtderatti thoughts?

Definitely Arsenal, gotta back the English clubs. Real Madrid have won too many cups by spoiling tactics and turning games into non spectacles. Not that they can do that tonight.

Arsenal to go through hopefully. But… the fan reaction if they lose will be quite something. A win/win, really.

Arsenal, Madrid players and staff have been all over the press here saying how this is going to be THE classic Madrid "remontada", THE comeback. It's got to the cocky stage and that can't be good.

Whole spectacle for me, ruined inside two minutes with the depressing news…

‘Rio Ferdinand has made his way from pitch side to the commentary box’

Ninety minutes of him chewing his way round semi-literate cliches has made Newcastle Palace far more appealing.

Talk about a gift of a penalty

controversial penalty, var intervened about two minutes after play continued and pulled it back for a pulling back someone in the area (which happens at nearly every penalty)

not sure where football is going to be honest

Arsenal, by a mile. I’ve never taken to Real.

Saka being a twit and not putting his foot through the pen by the sounds of it (BBC updates only, büggered if I’m paying TNT sports for this. Besides we’ve got the Newcastle game on anyway and they’re flying 3-0 up already).

I think it's a foul, so I'm glad they gave it, it's just that, as you say, it happens constantly at corners and free kicks and hardly ever gets given as a pen. I wish they would give them every time. It would soon stop. For this one though, what a pointless foul, the ball went straight to the keeper.

Hilariously bad pen though.

Yeah at the end of the day it was a foul

Here we go again now with Rice. I don't want to watch all this nonsense, it's nothing to do with football.

So 5-1 on aggregate. Beat them on Sunday and we're better than Madrid, lose by 3 goals or less and we're better than Madrid. As Madrid have never beaten us it's a moot point anyway.

I could never want a team with Thomas Partey to do well.

He makes Grimsby v Accrington more appealing, to be honest.
