Ridiculously harsh.
Arsenal came out the gates well, and flexed their enormous quality around the pitch early - I would actually argue that the game plan we wanted to implement of compact and counter was the right approach, just didn’t execute anything in our limited moments before the red. |  | | |

Enciso and Clarke managed a couple of good breaks, Cajuste too, but they were either cynically fouled or made poor choices. Arsenal were excellent but their first two goals were more or less the first efforts on goal they had, we largely defended our box well until they scored. Even after the red, we defended well in large spells of the game to keep the score vaguely respectable, which makes the softness of their third and fourth all the more frustrating. | |
