Newcastle away games 14:13 - Apr 25 with 1069 views | gainsboroughblue | Anybody go in our 91-92 promotion season? It was mid-week and Newcastle was brimming with riots at the time (Benwell mainly) I can recall going in 1990 as well. Mick Quinn scoring twice to overturn our lead. The next week we were at Plymouth. Some serious miles clocked up in those 7 days. And who was there for Claus Thomsen's last gasp equaliser which I think was the only time we ventured out of our half.

Newcastle away games on 15:31 - Apr 25 with 920 views | Illinoisblue | Went sometime around 89, 90 or 91 and Kiwomya scored. Will have to look it up. The days when the loyal superfan best fans in the world super fan Geordie’s used to get 15k at home.

Newcastle away games on 15:39 - Apr 25 with 903 views | ParisBlue | Went in 89/90 and 90/91. From memory the Jackie Milburn stand opened that day. Both ends were single tier terraces, and I got a lift back to the station in a police van.

Newcastle away games on 15:54 - Apr 25 with 874 views | ITFC_Forever | I last went in the two seasons in the Prem under Burley. Stadium had already been redeveloped and we were in the Gods at the far end to the Gallowgate End where Marcus Stewart put us 1-0 up only to lose 1-2 eventually. Then the following season, we drew 2-2 after Marcus Bent scored twice - they equalised with a few minutes left and Shearer missed an injury time penalty. We stayed up in Newcastle that time and had a great time. Tomorrow we're going to park at Darlington and get the train the rest of the way as the traffic around Newcastle sounds horrific. Then back to Sheffield overnight to drop daughter back at uni and back to Ipswich on Sunday.

I went to the 2-1 defeat when Marcus Stewart put us 1-0 up. I was with Newcastle supporting mates right behind the goal and leapt in the air when it went in. I got a few slaps on the back of the head as they celebrated Shearers equaliser a few minutes later, but it was a good day out - it always is there.

Suddenly remembered, between those two PL games under Burley there was the 4-1 defeat in the league cup. No idea why I bothered driving up there for a midweek cup tie.
Newcastle away games on 18:08 - Apr 25 with 691 views | benrhyddingblue | I was there in 92-92 - there were so few of us in the corner of the Leazes end that I could clearly see myself in the highlights on the end of year video. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Went to that one, had to ring my brother to find out who’d scored for us, it’s a long old hike up to the away end.

I went from London to Newcastle for a postponed game, had a curry and came home again. A week later did exactly the same away to Hull - Boothbury Park. I believe the referee was Mr. Flood. No idea what year - late 80s?
