When was the last time a Premier League manager survived a relegation season? 17:05 - Apr 26 with 1194 views | Nthsuffolkblue | Clearly the context is massive here but I cannot imagine McKenna getting sacked before the start of next season and nor should he be. However, I can't think that has happened for any other manager has it? Or am I forgetting someone like Lambert who took them lot up 2 divisions? Did he stay?

A lot of times it's not even about the manager doing a crap job, it's about moving them to that next level. Leeds may do that Farke before they start.

Having said that next season will be interesting because in my view it’s the first time he will be under real pressure right from the start. Expectation is running high amongst our supporters and, whilst the owners rightly don’t see this relegation as a sackable offence I would imagine they will want us in the mix to get straight back to the PL from the off. If we make a good start then no problem. If, on the other hand, we get to Xmas and are underperforming, for want of a better phrase, who knows what might happen? American business is notoriously unforgiving of perceived failure. As I said McKenna has credit in the bank but it’s not endless!
