Toffees on the train loved us 20:42 - May 3 with 3120 views | Mullet | Best away fans of the season, never stopped, all the baubles coming from three random fans we were sat with on the train back. 3 generations who didn't know each other, said what another middle aged bloke did in the pub. We've been the best club to come up, given it a go and they have always had a lot of love for us. That aside, today was a proper football day. Good beer, good weather, good company and a proper ground. The away end was superb again. Having gone 2 down, it could easily have been a really bad day at the office. The swerve on McNeil's goal had us questioning Palmer. It looked like he just fell backwards without even diving in real time. But the whack on it, was unreal. To better that from Enciso was magnificent. We took our chances today in a game that was all end of season, ten minute spells and whatnot. I think Everton felt they could simply hold on, so it was testament that we wanted something from the game. A young lad told me he's paying £1200 for his equivalent seat at the new place. You get a £10 credit and a programme chucked in, it's nigh on double his current season ticket. Blew my mind what the next level will be when we get there.

I met many on the train, bus to and from the ground etc. and all were knowledgeable, respectful and genuinely complimentary about us. Our fans in the ground were terrific too with great banter with Everton. The guys worked bloody hard on the pitch and deservedy the draw. Just seen the highlights which emphasised that. Had a good day.

And for me too. Great way (almost) to finish my away travel this season - can’t do Leicester because of cricket commitments. It was also a strange feeling knowing we’d never be going to Goodison again.
Toffees on the train loved us on 12:35 - May 4 with 1120 views | Deano69 | We have the cheapest season tickets in the PL by some way, less than half the top six priced clubs. And cheaper than half the clubs in the Championship. Cheapest beer in the league too I believe (£6.50, the station hotel is £8.50 on match day apparently)

Toffees on the train loved us on 19:52 - May 4 with 691 views | ArnieM | I think Town fans have been even MORE magnificent this season than we usually are. The fan base has grown in its number and sheer fervour. We have the same never same die attitude that our team has. Our reputation as a noisy fan base is growing, and I think it will get bigger, which will serve us well next season, in what will be anything but a walk in the park, or a “piss the league” season. Has anyone seen the comments from that budgie lush reported in the EADT today, as the stupid lush has trashed Town fans? That woman has absolutely no class.

Part of why our away support has been so loud and proud and so noticed by other teams that many mention us is that compared to other Premier league teams , it’s very hard to get an away ticket to one if our games. Every other team in the Premier has also been part of the established group and had their hard core support watered down bu tourists and overly expensive tickets. Tourists can’t infiltrate our fan base , we have so many fans that have been going for years , and it’s not a coincidence that those same fans sing their hearts out week after week. The question is , should the rules be relaxed to allow more town fans the chance to get tickets , ( but at the same time this comes with the risk that more tourists / non committed fans make up our away allocations and then the noise is diluted as we have seen at every other Premier league club. the hardcore fans have not been selling their tickets to tourists , but the more it’s relaxed , the lesser some fans will be committed
