Is the Leicester game our most valuable of the season? 12:47 - May 5 with 1035 views | Matt_Netherlands | Not as weird as it sounds… Last year Luton received a total merit payment of £8.5m for finishing 18th whereas Burnley got £3m less for finishing 19th - so a different rid £3m for one place in the table. If you factor in other commercial payments it’s a difference of around £5m which even in football terms, isn’t to be sniffed at! https://www.football365.com/news/premier-league-prize-money-table-tv Those figures might not be exactly spot on, but definitely worth doing all we can to finish 18th.

To put that into context, non-parachute clubs in the Championship will only receive approx. £11M in broadcasting fees this season. That £3M could be used to pay for a top class loan signing next season.
I think the game has significance and should be well contested on 14:22 - May 5 with 630 views | unstableblue | Leicester will be one of of promotion rivals next season*, McKenna and the boys want to finish the season strongly, Leicester will want to give their fans some joy and get them back on side, and as you mention 18th place and significant money is up for grabs. I’m looking forward to it. I do think by then we could be fielding a strong side with injuries and suspensions clearing. *Wonder if the EFL will punish Leicester for their previous financial mismanagement when in the Champ. Retrospectively.

Is the Leicester game our most valuable of the season? on 15:06 - May 5 with 472 views | textbackup | I know the money matters, but honestly for me it’s more about having some pride/saving face. If we go down 2nd bottom having not beaten the two teams going down with us, I think that’s pretty piss poor if I’m honest.

The EFL have already given a strong indication that they're just waiting for Leicester to be under their jurisdiction to throw the book at them. Leicester are unlikely to be a serious contender for automatic promotion next season, as any points deduction is going to undermine what will likely be another season with a high points tally needs for 2nd.
