Maersk pulling their Asian service from Felixstowe won’t change too much in terms of road traffic. MSC have already increased their traffic into Felixstowe as I’m sure other lines will too. Objectively speaking I’d be interested to see why people have stated no as it’s very clear we need one. Whether people want one or if we get one is a whole other story.

They are either non-drivers who oppose anything which might improve things for cars, or country house owners who think it will ruin their village/house value.

It isn’t just Felixstowe port traffic. Construction of Sizewell C is expected to involve 500 HGV trips a day and on busiest days 700.
