Really important to finish positively, lots to play for in lots of different aspects. Can't guarentee the result but have to put in performance for fans. Most enjoyable? You enjoy the wins, wins against some of the biggest clubs in the world. Chelsea and Tottenham. Had some really intense games. No bad draws for us, some we should have won, but if we take points in this division we've have done well. Losses tend to stick more, but over the season there have been results which will stick with fans, as good as any over the last 20 years.

I don't thiknk anything in PL has shocked me. Taking team from L1 to PL has been an incredible journey in this era, differences between the leagues, recruiting, lots of factors, but mostly trying to bring a club from where we were to where we went to. Set up well for the future, things we might have done differently, but everything done for the best of the club.

Some element of change healthy but we know we've got really good players on long contracts, young players, some who came in over the course of the season who will be better for the season they've had. Will be good numbers coming back for pre-season and in good position.

Confident we'll challenge for return next year but we know how relentless that division is. Every year teams do better, some do worse. Know we're starting from scratch, in some ways easier, some ways more difficult than before as expectation higher.

Dara been excellent, really consistent over the campaign. Considering little injury he had, having moved around. Leader, settled into the group, earned respect, growing every day. Can see he's played Premier League football recently and the only one in the squad who played PL football last season. Brought that to the group and has benefited us. Glad to have him going forward, type of player we want to build around in years to come. Ogbene has been big miss. A-star person, as good a human being you're going to meet. As a player, we've really missed those qualities, pace and power in the PL is many positions is the prerequisite and to lose him really early was a big, big blow, compounded by losing Wes Burns, big, big loss, along with losing other left wingers. Will have him back next season and ready to join in in pre-season. Will be like a fresh player coming into the group. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Optimistic about next season. Climb we had made it a big challenge to turn the squad around ahead of the season. Fans won't have seen the changes behind the scenes. Didn't have PL infrastructure in previous years, so been a huge turnover in processes and staff. Going into the summer with more good players and staff, a year with our processes being challenge in the best league in the world put us in a better position. If we get promoted again, we'll be in a far more advantageous position than we were last summer. But know the Championship a very competitive division. Massive work going on at the training ground, more work in addition, will put club in stronger position.

Burge and Axel still talking, Massimo is moving on. I'm sure fans will want to give him the farewel he deserves. Incredible player for the club. Points per games and win ratio, perhaps the greatest free signing in football history. In a football IQ sense, best player I've worked with. Competitor, still can do a job, training really well, has a good chance to push on and be a big player for someone and get to the World Cup. That's what the decision is based around. For us, we need to invest in the future. Sam and Mass have done incredibly but need to add to those areas. Right decision for all parties, fans will be keen to say goodbye.

Liam's looking at options for next year, we've supported him in that. Given him permission to do that. There's a lot of interest, and rightly so. It looks more likely than not he'll move on and has interest from virtually everyone. Nothing done or very close, that process will take its course. We'll be proud of our part in his development. If he stays we'll be delighted, if he goes then positive for the club that we've developed him. I've spoken to Liam and he knows I and the rest of the staff will always try to help him. How far can he go? Has great potential. Still young, will improve but has great attributes. I think fans' reaction to him will be positive. I don't see any booing or anything like that. With these deals, there are always clauses and protections. Has given all to the clause, is entitled to make a decision on his future. Fans will look back fondly on his time here.

All longer-term absentees back for pre-season, Harry C has had an op. Other players will have minor surgeries. Austria again in pre-season.

On gap between divisions, says owners who are willing to put money into clubs without loading them with debt should be able to do so. I know there are discussions around that. Knowing how ambitious our owners are, then FFP is limiting.

Going down early give an opportunity to get things done early? We've tried to. Are we in a better position now if we were still in teh running Sunday? Yes, we're further on down the line, not done and dusted but moved on. Tried to use time well trying to put plans in place. Means we're going into the summer with good clarity.

How energy levels after the last three years! I'm ready for a holiday spend time with my family. Most seasons are funny, go fast but go slow. Liverpool seems ages ago, but in other ways not. Will go into summer with head held high, made decisions which were right for the club at all times. Of course, frustration that things could have been done differently. Time for that to settle in and prepare for next season.

Well we have the champions league final followed by England friendlies to "enjoy" over the next couple of weeks. Fifa club world cup to follow if you are interested in that sort of thing. July looks busy with the Womans Euros, Mens Lions tour and England vs India in the cricket. Those finish on 27th July, 2nd August and 4th August respectively, with the first week of the Championship starting on the 8th!

100% agree with this. If it's a gift rather than a loan then there's no threat to the stability of a club. That is surely a better scenario than good owners getting bored due to spending limitations and then getting replaced by bad owners with limited capital.

I keep wondering if there is some sort of sponsorship they could offer - has to be market value, but if significant it helps a lot with FFP.

I'm sure this is at least the third game where there has been sickness in the group. Seems a bit odd given they are athletes and train outdoors most of the time. Aged 65, and travelling by train to virtually every game this season, I haven't suffered sickness or any proper cold since well before last August despite all the crowds etc. [Post edited 23 May 15:56]
