The Mercedes-AMG F1 Road Edition is quite nice as well, and comes in at a delightful £12K.

which is about standard for a full carbon frame bike with the top end SRAM RED on it, that drivetrain alone makes up around 3k of that cost. the wheelset probably another 1.2k. the brakes 0.6k, handlebars in carbon fibre maybe another 0.3k, so roughly 7k for the frame for what is essentially a custom made frame as they clearly dont make lots of bikes.

Not the sort of bike you'd want to leave outside the local Tesco Express then!

Do you ever think we've reached the point where there's enough stuff. Like there's literally no point in this whatsoever. Similar to how cars have more and more flashy lights on them nowadays. Just why???

Evolution.

It is evolutionary drivers that have propelled humans to have brains with problem solving and creativity skills in-order to become top of the technology chain.

Why stop.

Plenty of old bikes about but they are expensive.
