Yep. That's me too.

The world does appear to be somewhat fecked, in the ways that Homer highlighted and more, but there is little I can do about it so I'm just going to enjoy the Summer.

That's not to say that I don't care, as I find most of it hugely depressing, but I'm just going to keep my head down and hope some of it passes.

Iran has been on The USA's immediate radar since the late 1970s. Israel have been threatening their neighbours on more than one front since the late 1940s and have on multiple occasions followed through. Plane crashes happen all the time, last weeks was a particularly bad one but far from unique in it's scale. Political unrest has been happening since before politics was a thing. It is in a worrying state right now but it has been worse. AI taking other and changing The World forever is another in the line of technologies that were supposed to and failed to do so. Cars, aeroplanes, The Internet/WWW to name a few. Soaring temperatures is a real concern though.
