As a Avral boy ( bit unfortunate that yer man can't pronounce it correctly) I'm happy to see that Lowestoft is viewed as more of a sh1teh0le and we're only number 2.
Being viewed as only the 2nd sh1test town in Suffolk is possibly Avrals greatest achievement. I'd like to think they may add a plaque celebrating this achievement to the toilet roll statue.

I now realise my pronunciation of Leiston and Haverhill are completely wrong. This guy says he spoke to locals, so must have heard local pronunciations.
Oh well, everyday is a school day.
Quite enjoyed that, not quite as good as the London Districts one in some ways and better in others
Grove Park is the district both my parents grew up in, and in which I began my journey to birth. My uncle on this at 03:47

The wife's granny ended up in sheltered housing in Grove Park. A fellow resident was Max Wall. Despite a later career involving Becket, Shakespeare etc, he couldn't walk into lunch without someone shouting ' go on Max, do your funny walk'

He reinforces my view of Ipswich. Everyone who lives there complains about it, but doesn’t seem to realise it’s a LOT better than many of the UK’s towns and cities. It’s like Monaco compared to places around here.

Indeed.
A lot of people who bitch about Ipswich have never set foot outside of it.
It's not overly posh, not overly rough. Not thrilling, not especially dull if you look in the right places. It's as middle of the road as you can get.

I lived in 'Avral' before it became a London overspill town and it got filled up with Cockney folk. Lived on both Parkway and Clements estates ,but never savoured the delights of the Chalkstone though. Went to skool at the old Cangle. All in all it ain't a bad place. But, i did escape to Bury St. Eds. lol.

Every where in Suffolk is better than the likes of Wolverhampton or Walsall.

Nah, I never found it that bad myself. Couple of years on the Clements as a young kid, but a Chalkstone boy really. Went to the no longer existent Chalkstone middle school
