I would imagine to keep him we have are paying him near prem wages and a promise that if we fail to go up he would be allowed to go back to the prem. |  |

Can't see it being an issue. He will probably get plenty of time with the armband and even without it, he can still be a second captain. | |

We would have been paying him Prem wages to sign him in the first place and there is no way he has taken a pay cut to sign a new deal. He'll be on better terms today than he was 12 months ago. |  | | |
