Delap 09:40 - Jun 30 with 3857 views | Garv | Going to have a battle on his hands for a starting spot this season. Joao Pedro joining him from Brighton for £60m - does that offer a better reflection or Delap's true value with them being similar profiles of player?

Delap on 10:27 - Jun 30 by Garv | I agree, I think he's even going to surpass most expectations, the kid is bloody good and seems to have no fear. Without being too disrespectful he reminds me a bit of Cole Palmer, seems to live and breath football and not a lot else. |
Yup , he will be there main striker .

Delap on 15:40 - Jun 30 by OldFart71 | There has obviously beena few through the halls of PR who shall we say have been less than great for the club. Being on the treatment table and topping up their pension pot at the expense of the club whilst giving very little in return. But alternatively there are many who we owe a debt of gratitude to. Have made themselves heroes and go down as greats in the history of our club. Liam doesn't quite hit the hero status as Omari wouldn't either should he go. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't wish them well and who wouldn't go to another job with better prospects and an immediate large increase in their take home pay, I didn't have any qualms leaving the old lawn mowers in Stowmarket to get a job down at I.C.I. as it was then. You have to look after yourself and your family and anyone who thinks differently should give their head a wobble. |
I think Omari is a hero. I dont think we would have got promoted without him. Delap doesnt go down as a hero, as although he did well, his goals really only meant we didnt get embarrassed as badly as we might have done without him.

Delap on 10:23 - Jun 30 by ArnieM | I think he was daft even going to chelsea. Of all the clubs hes had after him he chooses that Basket Case of a club who accumulate players, like stagnant stones gather moss. |
Is Dewsbury Hall still a footballer?

I wondered if we might go in for him this window if none of the promoted clubs do. He appears to be that perfect age to slot into our midfield requirements.

He'll definitely have Prem interest if he leaves Chelsea. A bit of an awkward fit for us, he wouldn't work as a CM, we'd have to play him as a 10.

You may be much younger than myself and yes Omari had a great end to the Championship season and perhaps to those who follow Town now he is a hero. But to myself the real heroes are the Kevin Beattie's, Paul Mariner, Ray Crawford,Jonty David Johnson, Matt Holland and a few more I could mention. Players that are heroes spent more than a couple of seasons at Town and whilst if Omari stays he has every opportunity to become a hero to me he isn't there yet.
