The of/have mix up is one of mine too.
My own kids are fond of throwing in an unnecessary "basically" at the start of every sentence, as well as "like" for which I blame their saturation in low brow American culture.

'Like' is ubiquitous these days, isn't it? I catch myself doing it sometimes and slightly cringe inside. 25/30 years ago I am sure you only ever heard it from California (is it LA?) 'valley girl' types such as in 'Clueless'. | | | |
