25/26 Birmingham City Away Match Ticket Sales 'Profile' 15:52 - Jul 22 with 1020 viewstommcd

The first Away Ticket Sales Profile of the 25/26 Season and the first Championship fixture for Ipswich; away to Birmingham City.

The fixture fixture has sold-out in 25+ Window and is likely to remain so, the Ticket Sales 'Profile' for the fixture is as below.

Summary:

The Club announced an allocation of 2000 tickets had been provided, the total seat-map count pretty much agrees with running to 2006 seats.

The seat-map suggests 42 wheelchair + assistant spaces, a further 230 seats unavailable for purchase. Probable breakdown of the 'unavailable' seats; 40 for the Ballot (which remains at 2%), 190 for 'Club Allocation' or steward seating.

There were 1734 seats made available for sale in 'points-based' sales windows.

488 (28.14% of available seats) seats sold in the 30+ window.

1246 (71.86%) seats sold in the 25+ window.

Points of note:

* The first competitive fixture of the new season is always going to be a popular one, but a televised Friday evening fixture, in the school holidays, with no novelty value to the trip (as will be the case with many fixture thhis season, we've visited fairly recently) may have tempered sales a little.

* For our Premier League Season the magic number of points to start the season with for a guaranteed 'Premier League Tour' was 14, it looks like it is going to be much higher this season thanks in part to the reduced allocations of the Championship. I can imagine 35+ or 40+ Windows being needed fairly quickly.

* For this fixture at least (remains to be seen if it continues), the Ticket Office are running two Sales-Windows per day (10am and 3pm), fingers-crossed I can keep on top of it throughout the summer hols...

Graphical Comparison (or at least it will be once another fixture's sold!):

There's your Bromley lot on 31 points then. Easy work.

Not an original point but almost 10% of the allocation going to staff/guests/other associates of the club is a bit much. Especially now there are long serving fans who can't get a sniff of a ticket anymore.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

You are forgetting:

1. That several of us on 30 points didn't buy at 30 points as the rest of the group were in the 25 bracket

2. A proportion of those in the 25+ group will have been sat on 29 points and will now be in the 30 group.

3. There may have been some on 30 who didn't bother at all (although I would be surprised if that was many as to have 30 points you attended every game including Wimbledon so that is likely to be the case for those of us who attend every game, come what may, home and away, rain or sunshine, Premier league or League 1 (but then get slagged off because others want our tickets

Back of the programme maths for the season…

Ballot:
40 tickets per game x 23 games = 920 tickets

Regular away travellers:
1750 tickets per game x 23 games = 40,250 tickets

Obviously there are bigger allocations that will only increase that numerical gap.

Poll: So, how many league wins did you see in person?

On point one I didn’t dare risk it haha. Got 2 this morning and the other 3 at 3.

I think you meant "attended every game and bought a ticket for Wimbledon", given the spaces in the ground for that match .

When I logged on in the 25+ plus bracket…. It was noticeable that there was a huge blank area of unavailable tickets in the middle ( looking top to bottom) of the middle block of the 3 on sale.

The last game I remember this happening at was Norwich away when all sorts of hangers on and prawn salad brigade got tickets and killed the atmosphere as they weren’t singing and we had the back singing and it dying in the middle.

Will be interesting and very annoying if that happens again at Brum, because the privileged ones that are not dyed in the wool fans have got tickets at the expense of people with lots of away points.
