Yep, a decent contingent of northern players too for Hackney to be with (Davis, J. Clarke, Greaves, Townsend, Hirst).
Omari, Hackney, Philogene, J. Clarke - comfortably the best quartet of English players outside the PL. |
If Omari does end up staying. The fact we are going in to the season with DOS still here, Leif still here, Omari still here is way beyond what I expected.
Still not there, need a striker to share time with Hirst and then another midfielder. But retaining those players is a big win. |  |

Well, I *did* say previously that everything I'd heard from within the club was that they wanted to recruit and be stronger than last year. There's no chance of establishing in the PL if you don't do all you can to progress and build year-on-year.
Let's say this team does the business and we're promoted again...
You probably only need 1x GK, 1x kick-ass RB, 1x kick-ass CB, 1x CM, 1x elite CF and another kick-ass number 10 to enhance the squad for the 26/27 PL season. | | | |

Quite. IF we were to go up you probably go balls deep through the spine with some more PL know how, and add a right back and some attacking depth. Half a side of upgrades.
I wonder when the last time we had an all UK&I starting XI was in the league. As it stands its probably only Matusiwa who isn't (assuming Greaves gets the nod ahead of Kipre). | | | |

I think a kick ass RB, decent backup CM, elite CF and we are getting there. Maybe a #10, as I still think Omari is best out on the wing.. I know thats still 4.. The gulf with the prem is huge!! | |

6 players is nothing. We've probably signed 9-10 players per summer window, on average, under this ownership.
We'd definitely need a new long-term GK and a squad CB with some level of PL know-how if we go back up. | | | |
