As I understand it, you can spend what you like on your women's team without that counting towards PSR. What's to stop you from shifting loads and loads of cash onto their balance sheet, and then selling them with all that cash on their balance sheet? It just doesn't make any sense at all that you should be allowed to sell the women's team and the income from the sale counts as footballing income for PSR purposes.
These rules need a serious tightening (or more assiduous enforcement - I must say I have given up reading them to work out what I think they mean. It's just too depressing). |  | | |

FFP or whatever it’s called is a joke - for starters it was only brought in to stop another Man City from joining the big boys. The PL etc can dress it up as protecting the long term futures of clubs but it’s not - just stopping more clubs from getting too big for their boots.
On paper, financial fair play is a great idea but it’s been enforced badly. Not sure how it could actually be “fair” to all clubs though. |  | | |

I thought women’s football expenses are excluded from PSR, so is this on the income side of the equation? It sounds wrong if they can exempt costs but include income, but I don’t know anything about it. |  |

It won't be shut down because the rules are set by the Premier League members, ie the clubs, and now that three clubs have used the accounting trick the others won't vote against it in case they also need to do it some time. |  | | |

What's to stop them paying the coaching staff through the women's budget but using them in the men's team sessions? All sorts of things could be channelled in this way to help conform with PSR. | | | |

I might well be wrong on this but salary caps only seem to work in sports where there is no real competition to that particular league. For example, the NFL or possibly the top tier of union here.
Fans might well be in favour of it but they’ll soon change their minds when their best players move on to other European leagues as well as Saudi. | | | |
