Interesting you get 5 upvotes, I posted about a big rebuild a few months back and got the opposite response.
In MCK we trust as they say as in a years time I believe every player would have come through or been signed under his watch.
Most importantly he has to get this new side firing fast as there is no time to lose in the Championship. | | | |

This was always going to be MAs biggest summer, now it could be KMcks biggest season. 1, how to maximise the accelerated path we are on since coming into relative PL riches, 2) how to get existing and new top talent to move forwards after the battle of last season and turn that into a top promotion season, there might only be one go at this with this group of players. No pressure.
OP: I still find it interesting with all the playing squad planning and depth management we ended up requiring total midfield rebuild. How ever if HH arrives you start to see the logic with Azor and HH plus further future additions. | |

On the squad planning I think it's just a series of unfortunate (or very fortunate events) that have led us to needing the rebuild.
Morsy and Luongo were just continually brilliant. There was no real need to recruit into those roles and even when we did with Jack Taylor, Mass kept his role.
No doubt we missed out on a few targets last season though. One the face of it, Phillips and Cajuste were very capable but I'm sure KM did not forsee us only using the loan market to strengthen that position.
If Hackney does end up here, It would certainly be an exciting new pivot! I'm sure we will be in the market for someone to compete with Azor as well. | | | |
