OK, here we go! 07:57 - Aug 8 with 1081 views | thebooks | Mildly surprised that anyone can see the Cajuste signing as anything but a major coup for us as he’s one of the few players who looked PL level last season. Against a Championship level press he’s going to be ridiculously effective. Assuming Hutch leaves the attack is still the strongest in the league. We know because it’s been proven already. We’ll sign another striker, probably Akpom. A back four with Greaves and O’Shea at its centre is very strong. Leif Davis is a PL level player. Against Championship level attacks he’ll fly again. I think Ben Johnson will adapt to the half-back role well, but guess there’s a question mark. Still, he finished last season well, albeit in a different role. In short: we have one of the strongest couple of squads in the league. We also have the best manager still. It’s gonna be great, starting with a comfortable win over the Brum upstarts.

OK, here we go! on 08:22 - Aug 8 with 890 views | Herbivore | There's a reason so many are predicting us to win the league. It's not going to be easy but we've got a great squad and a top manager. We need a few more additions to give us strength in depth across the park but that will come, there's over 3 weeks left in the transfer window still. Put it this way, would I swap out situation for that of any other side in the Championship right now? Absolutely not.

OK, here we go! on 08:45 - Aug 8 with 684 views | Smoresy | Wouldn't surprise me to see Akpom join primarily as our Hutch replacement. Once up to speed I'm backing him to play a bigger role than Hirst's "finisher", and his most potent period came under Carrick from a central position behind the striker (16 goals in 17 games while AM, 4 goals in 6 games while SS, with Cameron Archer mostly playing CF). So striker search continues by my judgement / guess.

Yeah, that’s a good point. Maybe 10/left is main role, but also 9 backup. Actually think one more central mid, a striker and an attacking mid if Broadhead and Hutch go would make things pretty certain. But also think there’s enough there at the moment. AAH and Jack taylor are good squad players at this level.
OK, here we go! on 09:14 - Aug 8 with 463 views | Garv | Worth bearing in mind a lot of teams are going to press us high like we had teams doing last season, but he should be pretty useful all the same. On a related note it will be a blow to lose Hutchinson as he is the exact type we'll need in the tight games against packed defences. I'd want a replacement in the same mould if he goes.
