There were/are definitely some unsettled players here, some of which have moved on.
I think that’s probably normal for most clubs, but there’s definitely been some good PR overkill stories coming out of Portman Road this year to quieten them - I know this for a fact. [Post edited 21 Aug 23:37]

Is Muric the best keeper at the club? Yes. but he is toast here because "fans" in the stadium have destroyed his confidence. And those same "fans" have also done it to Palmer.
What is one of the most baffling things though - what on earth were the management thinking a year ago when they let Hladky leave for free and extended Walton for a year? The same Walton who wasn't good enough to play at all in the Champ yet it was ok to have him as our no.2 in the Prem? I am just staggered at that stupid decision. We paid the price last season, and we are still suffering from that stupid decision this season. If KM wants to play out from the back, the first consideration is whether you have a keeper who can play with his feet like an outfield player. We haven't got one of those any more. |  |

Having been at all but two games last season, I feel Palmer is a safer pair of hands than Muric but threads like this are obviously having a subliminal effect on me because I had a dream last night that Palmer conceded a very soft goal much to my disappointment. [Post edited 22 Aug 8:58]

I’d be surprised if there wasn’t some unhappiness. We’ve just been relegated after an influx of players on large contracts, sidelining of players who win promotion and various departures. It’s normal to have unsettled players staff. This is where Ashton, KM and others in leadership roles earn their corn by rebuilding the culture and team spirit. |  |

I know this will get mega downvotes by FromReuserWithLove 2 Aug 20:46and cries of me being so awfully negative and I know “things don’t work like that in the real world mate” etc etc but I really can’t help feel this pre-season/transfer has been a total mess thus far. Obviously things can change but I feel Ashton and Co should have sorted out a few glaring problems a lot more efficiently.
