Someone asked how quickly things would escalate if 06:24 - Aug 13 with 999 views | homer_123 | we had a poor start. 180 minutes it turns out. Happy Wednesday everyone, got a bit of work to do today, then spend the evening with the family, maybe a BBQ and chill while the sun goes down on another lovely summers evening.

Someone asked how quickly things would escalate if on 07:57 - Aug 13 with 629 views | bsw72 | We rested a lot of our first team (8) and drew away to a league 2 side, losing on penalties. The goal we conceded was down to a GK error and we were wasteful in front of goal. On another night we walk away winning by 2-3 goals. For context Middlesbrough rested 6 players, admittedly against a league 1 side but at home, with Doncaster changing all 11 of their players, and Doncaster spanked them 4-0. Whether we like it or not these early league cup games are just now preseason friendlies and for those of you panicking after two away draws, both of which we were not at full strength, I’m not sure following Ipswich or even any football club is right for you.

Excellent. Completely agree and eloquently put. The club has been on a bonkers journey. The idea there will be no turbulence from the changes we've had, the change in personnel, grappling with a different transfer market in such a short time etc. is absurd. Preseason was the vibe I got last night too. Not that it wasn't very disappointing. How many fans going berserk were here when things were really tough? Losing to Exeter under Hurst by a hateful while Chambo took pops at him in the interview afterwards because he (correctly imo) called out the post Mick complacency.

I don't think he was having a go at your post, I think the 'you' is the knicker-wetting lightweights who've come out of the woodwork. Of course half of them have signed up on the new Norfolk free family dialup scheme.

Nope, all good, wasn’t really responding directly just adding some views, and couldn’t be arsed to start another thread. Edit: Ah, have re-read back and the “you” was not aimed at you but the bed wetters and flouncers. Apologies for any confusion caused. [Post edited 13 Aug 8:13]

Bromley also rested half their team. Middlesbrough lost 4-0 At home which is shocking. So we are not the only ones.

Someone asked how quickly things would escalate if on 08:23 - Aug 13 with 384 views | BloomBlue | We got a lot of glory hunters become fans last 2 seasons, or suddenly the ones who had 'always supported Town' come out of the woodwork. Now they cannot handle a period where we aren't winning. Plus they unfortunately think football is actually like fantasy football, where Ashton just goes oh I'll have Salah, Rice, Guehi, etc. It's no different to other teams who have taken a step back, they've all had similar issues with fans. I laugh at some of the fans who are quick to point out what a basket case fans of teams are given how they overreact, and then do the same re Town.
