Clearly there been showdown talks today 20:59 - Aug 14 with 2163 viewshunty21

There was me thinking we would let omari and broadhead go with replacements in the building or maybe I am wrong , but clearly mckenna has had enough and wants to focus on players who want to be here

You think there were showdown talks seriously?

Why showdown talks today? Nothing’s changed apart from a club offering more ££.

Wouldn’t have been any sort of talks, just means there’s replacements on the way very soon!

We’re pretty stacked in those positions with Akpom and Azon joining.

Omari's agent has made it clear Omari doesn't want to play for Town.
Forest have decided they want him and have finally come back today with an offer Town are happy with*
*Well the deal hasn't been finalised yet, so more of a TBC

Interestingly Howe was on radio5 earlier and they were asking him about the Isak situation and he was very open about it. He made the point its been difficult for everyone, especially the other players. Where you have you're leading scorer not wanting to play any more for the team, and the other players also see the individual as a friend. He made the point it did impact the team performances in the preseason games.

Because of the negative press and questions coming at mckenna, we could of strung this on longer but have opted to clean the decks and allow time to get replacements in seems to have accelerated since Bromley result

We also don't know what is going on behind the scenes, there could be other new additions lined up.

A possible correction to that -

Omari's agent has made it clear that he doesn't want Omari to play for Town …

Anyway - never thought I’d say this, but I’m now not sorry Omari’s gone. I’ll thank him for his football performances while he was here, and perhaps I should thank him too for softening what might have been the blow of his departure by his refusal to adhere to his contract at the end - (perhaps his intentions were good after all and he just wanted to spare us fans angst at his departure?!
