Frimmers FT thoughts 14:03 - Aug 17 with 644 views | FrimleyBlue | Happy enough with that. Would have loved a win but would have taken a draw as again whilst we go through this transition stage we stop another rival getting 3 points. Some positive football in that likewise some poor but we know we have new players coming in so some of issues will sort themselves out. Philogenes work ethic was excellent. I didn't feel clarke had a good game but southamtpon did a good enough job at fullback imo to stop clarke and philogene attacking threats. Azor getting better. Clearly tell he's not there yet but there's plenty to see with him. Taylor is OK. But he can't really do the role required of him here. He needs two touches to control a ball and doesn't offer enough with the ball at his feet. That new CM will be important. Cajuste slotted back nicely. He'll do really well again. Sammy.. tries hard. Will probably feel he could have won the game for us. It'll come and I think once he gets scoring he won't stop. Chappers showed when he came on the good and bad of chapperw but that's what you get.. those first time balls tho can be incredibly powerful and almost gave us reqars. Hirst.. a mixture of a game. Some positives. But felt he should have done better with his chance. I liked some of his efforts in turning players. But felt sometimes he did them when they weren't on and lost the ball more often than he would historically. But all in all we are getting there. You could see some training ground passing drills happening. Its just those end products aren't there at the moment. But it'll come. Two games. Two points. An unbeaten league start can't be bemoaned not with the club going through such a tough period of ins and outs. Let's keeping going. Pick up what ever points we can until international break and then let's hit this league.

I liked Philogene, but he sometimes missed the final pass or shot, but he's missed so much football that brain will return.

I was a bit concerned towards the end of the first half where we looked pretty incoherent, but we certainly finished the game stronger. I'm convinced we need to find a way to get Chaplin in the starting XI

And I think you're being a bit harsh on Hirst with his chance. As I said elsewhere, it was such a good run/work to get there he was a bit out of puff when it came to shooting. Other than that I agree with your assessment. Much better from Town, particularly second half. We had more than enough to win it and the performance was night and day from Brum away IMO. Still a few teething troubles here and there but we looked a lot less disjointed than last weekend. Add in a few more players and weeks on the training ground and we should be a force.
| Trust the process. Trust Phil. |

It may be harsh on hirst but then that's bread a butter for a top striker and what he wants to be at town. As a striker you've got to bury those. Chappers. Bad possibly from me is the wrong wording it's more about how he loses the ball a fair but trying things. Some simple passes never come off and sometimes he could take a touch and move forward but he tries that first time pass... but without that first time pass some things don't happen hence I call it the good and bad. It's catch 22 really lol.
