How does the window end? 11:06 - Aug 19 with 1940 viewsJrm_72

Two weeks today the window will be shut. Bit of fun Chaps and Chapettes, put your proverbials on the chopping block. Do we:

A) Get what we need in and out. I know we could argue all day on exactly how many we need (and club may have a different view), but for argument's sake let's split the difference and say this equates to 4 new players (including the New Haaland Tractor). For me the number we need in is 6, but I imagine that's for the birds at this stage.

B) We get some, but leave ourselves short and aim to top up in January. Say 2 in's

C) We just get New Haaland Tractor, or don't even get him

I think its B, as that seems to be the way it plays out for us in recent years for one reason or another.

Game of opinions, what's yours?

Well it could end a number of ways.

We could destroy the earth ourselves with pollution and destruction of natural resources, over population, climate change, or any number of mana made disasters

Or the earth could be struck by an object from space.

ohh sorry the window not the world

Two additional central midfielders seems greedy

One more would be perfectly adequate imho

I would be happy to move on Jack Taylor if we could. Humphreys. Ali.

Assume some of the signings young enough to not need to be included.

That what I wanted as well but Taylor would be ok to come in here and there or on as a sub. Humphrey's I like but really should be featuring for a club in our position much, I am leaning on now for now.

With us being a striker short for the fourth Summer in a row probably.

If we're a central midfielder short too then we really are going to struggle.

We knew Delap was leaving before the last season had even ended. We knew Ali wasn't good enough since we shipped him off to Stoke in January.

That we are two weeks into the new season and haven't replaced either beggars belief. But as you say, we've seen this movie before.

2 who were keen on a decent loan and one random slightly desperate signing who starts well and fades badly.

Slowly, and pretty uneventful,
AAH would have gone but injured here till to January at least,
Wolf n a couple of kids possibly,
In couple of prem loans that's about it,

We need another number 9 regardless of whether AAH is moved on, don't we? I would be really quite worried if not (unless our socks are blown off in January and we're very lucky with Hirst's form and fitness til then).
