What's stopping him training with the first team do you think?

Links to other right sided players.. what is the deal with mendel.

One the looks good at a poor level or good feet but lacks passing ability etc?

a niche perspective

He has raw attributes that you think would have been worth a look against Bromley for example

Clearly a little way out of the picture?

Alcohol is the answer but I can't remember the question!

I think one of the unfortunate consequences of our ‘ascent’ is the lack of yoof pathway into the 1st team, for me at least as that’s something I love seeing as a supporter. Aside from Humphreys there hasn’t been anyone, and his chances appear limited.

That said academy and U21 football is a mile off the standard of the championship, not least expected title challengers. I think sometimes people underestimate what a ridiculous jump it is from U21 to senior at this level, it’s a different game entirely. He probably needs a loan 3 levels down to cut his teeth.

Whilst I make you broadly correct, it is notable that some other clubs do seem to play younger players from their academies more than we do. Hopefully, we will see players coming through as the academy comes up to speed.

Yes, it's a bit frustrating seeing Dibling and Robinson coming through at Southampton, for example, whereas we don't have anyone who's anywhere near doing something similar.

He’s very, very inconsistent - generally has next to no end product. He’s still got lots to put together but a promising start to the season.

A guy I know who watches all the 21s games will tell you that his off ball work is so bad out of possession - he generally has one good half when he is on the side of the management team who have to talk him through the whole game
