Nobody has asked me for my thoughts regarding where we’re at but that won’t stop me from posting.
Ok, after four games the points tally and style of play is underwhelming. The team seem to have lost their spark, creativity and willingness to take chances.
I do think that using the ‘time to gel’ excuse isn’t really applicable to high level professional football as they should have the footballing intelligence to learn quickly off one another.
However, seasons can be ignited by that one spark and I do think that today’s late late drama might well provide it. Almost two weeks off now for the players to work together and to form some sort of more cohesive unit. The next three league matches are important for everybody to lose anxiety as well as a lot of the negativity. The next three league matches need to produce nine points.

Yeah easy to keep preaching patience but I wonder if any team has not won in their first 4 league games and got automatically promoted. We don’t just need a win we need to on a run once we get our first. |
I think we’ll be okay; I don’t see a Leeds or Burnley situation like last year with a team running away with a high 90s point total. Might be the most open championship for a few years. |  |

Tell you what the effort from Azon was good when he came on, that was a long hopefully pump into the box from Young but he went and really put a challenge in and Taylor was alert as well. I want these guys to have more than twenty minutes. Akpom’s shot was better than anything Hirst or Chaplin have got off this year as well. Give them a chance to start. I don’t want to persist with players struggling for form and only allowing the others twenty minutes against a low block. |  |
