Different opinion. 19:26 - Aug 31 with 1418 views | DavoIPB | At times on Saturday we were superb. We have solved the midfield problem, Jens and Matusiwa were controlling it. A change of striker and a number ten who can thread a pass and we should be well away. Thought we were unlucky not to win on Saturday, a dodgy penalty decision and a post width away. I know just totally contradicted every other post I have posted.

The stats back that up and at half time I was sat chatting to my friend saying we look to have a bit of our mojo back. We then gave away 2 dreadful goals and it’s a different game altogether. It’s fine margins innit and the result dictates that narrative. If we get that pen on Hirst, go 2-1 and go on to win people would be saying we’re back and have a mouthwatering squad. But if my auntie had b0llocks and all that. We didn’t, we dropped 2 points and showed a really soft underbelly. A lot of work to do but no doubt we’ve got a huge amount of quality at our disposal. Real work starts now for McKenna & Co.

Who’s saying Derby’s penalty was dubious. The Hirst non-penalty was dubious though.

Different opinion. on 21:49 - Aug 31 with 929 views | Everydayblue | Think its so difficult for KM atm.... Once the window closes, we would have hopefully trimmed the squad a bit, got rid of any deadwood and anyone that doesn't want to be here. It can't be great behind closed doors, if there are any players whinging and moaning (which I'm sure there are). Because things don't feel right atm in terms of togetherness , imo. KM will get everyone together after the window. He'll know who he's working with. And we'll kick on together. It still might take a few more games before we are really firing. Personally, I find it really fascinating. KM, being a relative rookie in management, in terms of not having to deal with our current situation before. And really dig his own team out of a hole. I'm quite sure he will. And in doing so, will be a much more rounded manager. I'm excited about this season. Hoping we can get the best of our very talented new recruits. I have no concerns atm.

Derby fan, I agree, you will move up the table. Unlucky not to get the 3 points in reality. Your penalty was one, as was ours. You should have had another. Travis was very lucky to stay on, IMO, and that of most Rams fans I know. We got away with that. The past few seasons we've been a bit soft and often come unstuck, thanks to the black arts utilised by some teams. We have a more "experienced" squad and don't seem averse to the black arts ourselves. I'd prefer it if no teams used them. We went down on some occasions, namely, late on when our keeper did it. Probably that action made sure that there would be enough extra time for that one "last" attack that saw you get the penalty and the, deserved, equaliser. We're still missing half a dozen players still coming back from injury, all of whom we view as starters. My one complaint? Forsyth was down with a head injury and getting a cut seen to. Cue boos from Ipswich fans. IMO, totally misplaced. Good luck, except of course when you visit Pride Park.

Yeah sorry about that. I could only tune in from half time and have a bit of a history of being a curse. [Post edited 3 Sep 13:55]

Different opinion. on 14:11 - Sep 3 with 358 views | SailorBlue | "At times" is doing a lot of heavy lifting there...... but seriously, I actually agree on the whole that the Cajuste/Matusiwa combination 1st half seemed to dominate. Derby counteracted 2nd half by lumping it over the top, goalie and centre halves both went long with increasing regularity. I commented to my friend it had been a while since I'd seen a goalie kick long nearly every time with so little short passes. Slightly concerning both their goals came from direct balls, hopefully Mck is on that as it wouldn't have gone unnoticed by other teams!

Jens looks a cut above, and him and Azor are going to be one hell of a partnership. Jens at points looked as if he was playing in a training game, keeping him fit is vital, he's our magic. We were getting the ball to our wide players pretty quickly, with time and a better understanding of their role, you'd hope they will be move decisive and work at speed rather than slowing the game down. We have such a strong bench, and the subs came on and really upped the tempo, and we've got more options still to bring in. It's been a tough few weeks, but we've got a great squad, a strong coaching team, and a fantastic manager who has done this before. We're going to be a formidable opponent for anyone this season. Let's give it time.
