Results in the next few games are going to be very important now, I think 22:19 - Sep 1 with 243 viewstonybied

Patience will run very thin if we don't pick up a couple of wins in our next few games. There's not many players left that the supporters hold dear to their chest left at the club now. When there's players we have an affiliation with, have shared wonderful highs with and have showed their worth to the community, it's much easier for fans to forgive poor performances and offer their patience. The majority of this squad are strangers, to each other and to the fans too. Most of the players that are not strangers have only experienced us in our lowest ebb for a few years, which doesn't endear us to them and vice versa.

We have some potentially exciting new players at the club, they need to prove their worth on and off the pitch sooner, rather than later. If things don't start to click fairly soon we could find ourselves in a horrible position with a lot of finger pointing and shrugging of shoulders going on.

I hope the next few months turn into interesting times for us Town fans, rather than interesting times for the doom mongers and rubbernecking neutrals.

Fingers crossed, I hope McKenna can handle it.

I for one will be very disappointed if patience does wear thin.
It’s a long season and even the midway point is around Boxing Day.
Patience is very much needed whilst a number of players settle into the club and system. The last thing we and they need is disharmony amongst fans.

I hope some of the new players fill the ambassadorial roles vacated (for now?) by Ogbene and Chaplin...that will go some way to retaining the community aspect.

Poll: Another Tragical Vegas poll. Would you rather?

Agreed.

Some people were calling for McKenna's head after Saturday, so if you add the fact that some fan favourite players have now moved on - if results dont pick up soon then the pressure on McKenna will crank up.

Its time to get behind the team and for new heroes & fan favourites to emerge!

The trouble is there's already disharmony bubbling under on here. The stands will start to follow it we're not careful.

I agree we need some patience, but if things aren't coming together by the end of this month we willl have left ourselves a mountain to climb. I understand that systems are going to take time to be learnt by the new players, but we really should have enough individual quality to win a good few matches, regardless of whether the players know each others game or our patterns of play.
