No point. They can't spend all their oil money now anyway.

But Spurs has a high turnover and lots of PSR headroom. PSR will probably change in the next year or two.

It’s as much about seeking soft power and legitimacy (sportswashing) for them isn’t it?

I think that it's the constant panning of the camera back to the managers every time a move breaks down or a iffy decision is made that makes it more noticeable.

I had to look they up. He’s been performing a Exec Chairperson role at Spurs appointed by the Spurs board eg main shareholders are Enic plus others. Enic might decide to sell its shares to invite further investment but that’s not the current announcement.

Levy doesn't own shares in Spurs. He owns shares in Spurs' owner, ENIC, who also have many other investments. He has been ousted due to differences of opinion as to how to grow the club. Levy wanted iterative growth via investment offfield yielding more revenue to go into the football side. Others, it seems, wanted shorter-term investment into the playing side and therefore will want short-term success too. Interesting. We may have similar issues at ITFC between the original pension fund investor and the newer BrightPath lot at some stage.
