Thank goodness there’s no relegation this season 14:56 - Sep 6 with 1362 views | ThatMuhrenCross | If this is how we’re going to perform against a fellow newly promoted side, I’m fearful it’ll be a long season. Not a single shot on target first half. Is Sheehan out of his depth?

Thank goodness there’s no relegation this season on 15:34 - Sep 6 with 1035 views | SuffolkPunchFC | What a terrible take after the season’s first 45 minutes of play. Southampton are established - yes they had a poor season last season, but have been mentioned as promotion candidates this season. Seems all this unnecessary negativity about the mens’ team is going to be the same for the women.

Promotion favourites? They won once all season last season…

The table I'm looking at says they won 5 times last season out of 20 matches and finished 8th.

I'm not sure where you get your data from, but you're way off. Yes, last season was disappointing for Southampton, but they are a very different team this season, with a progressive new manager. They still won way more than 1 game, and were well clear of relegation. Did I say promotion favourites? Yes, some do fancy them to be in the mix, which is what I said. Nothing supports your overly negative take for the Ipswich woman's team. It was a tough start, and they had a few good moments. They were off the pace at times, and seriously need to look at how they defend set pieces, but also had some bright attacks. Portsmouth and Sheffield will be a better measure of where they are, | | | | Login to get fewer ads
