Would you start Hirst tonight? (n/t) on 14:48 - Sep 12 by The_Flashing_Smile
Come on then, where's this link to where someone suggested one bloke is a decent amount of the fanbase? See if you can answer the question rather than just down-arrowing and running away from it.
I'm not running away from anything.
If anyone suggested one bloke is a decent section of the fanbase it was me based on your "real life" sample of one.
I don't care if Hirst plays tonight or not as long as we win, as this should settle the nerves of the decent section of the fanbase - personified by the enormous bloke who sits behind you.

In that post I also mentioned other threads and other websites.
"You'd have a point if this were the only thread (and indeed website) it's ever been mentioned on. And in real life too (bloke behind me at PR wants him dropped)."
So when I was talking about a decent section of the fanbase I wasn't basing it on this one bloke was I? I was basing it on all the online chat... and just threw in a RL example from PR. I think you just saw that and decided to run with it.
Glad we got there in the end. No need to apologise, but do get your head checked out.

I think you might use a different word instead of "real life" next time. Either that or get a sense of humour.
But yeah, let's leave it there.

We have created enough for him he has just missed every chance he has had. He has been really poor this season so far.
I didn't say we haven't created any chances. Strikers don't score all chances created.
We've been off out standard in terms of chance creation. Hirst was extremely efficient and put away chances in pre-season but you can't have watched our games in the league and thought we look free flowing and creating lots of chances for Hirst.
He has looked in as a good a shape for us as he's ever done going into this season but he needs to build relationships with new players behind him and we need to do better at creating chances.
Hirst and our defence (and even Palmer have taken the brunt of blame). It's nonsense. Midfield and and the 3 behind Hirst are basically strangers and will take time. I've no doubt we and Hirst will grow into this season. It's just how long it takes really.

To be honest, I think most accept that the link up will come in time but his touch seems to have gone down the toilet in recent matches. If he manages to control the ball more he'll be absolutely fine.
For his lack of contribution last time out, he won what should've been an obvious penalty that (if scored) would've got the monkey off his back and brushed a lot of the rest of the performance under the carpet.
