Cajuste and Matisuwa were outstanding last night. 10:17 - Sep 13 with 782 viewsWallingford_Boy

Cajuste is like a Rolls Royce next to the hard working Matisuwa, perfect partnership and with Nunez in the wings, that’s quite a threesome.

To think we were all worried about those central midfield positions a couple of months back.

Actually thought Cajuste was missing for large parts of the first half, blunts had control and midfield first 45

The only Muff in Town.

Agree tbh. Thought Azor was absolutely superb, won it back so many times. Wanted a bit more from Cajuste out there had a few nice pieces of skill but not a huge impact on the game imo.

Now firstly let me say Cajuste had a good game, but I actually thought it was Cajuste's least effective game so far this season.

He has set the bar high admittedly, but in that first 20mins he only touched the ball 2 or 3 times. With one of those being one of his wonderful step overs/side move/bomb forward, but SU pinched the ball off him and created a dangerous moment from it.

Second half he was more effective.

The way he lost those two players in the first half though and that through ball….

His vision is second to none

Matusiwa was fantastic because he was covering more than his fair share in the midfield. Cajuste doesn't look up to speed with the Championship yet. He's good when he's got the ball at his feet and plenty of space allowing him to beat players and find passes, but he needs to do a lot more of the hard work and teams are in to him as soon as the ball comes to him and he's not quite been able to get past that yet. Nunez I appreciate was coming in to a game that we'd already won, but he looked very sharp and if I had to pick a team for next week it would be Matusiwa and Nunez.

Yeah, drifted through it a bit and certainly one of his quieter games. Some of the stuff he does on the ball is beyond what most if not all midfielders at this level are capable of but needs to get more involved off it. Sure that will come though as he gets used to the division.

Just because I don't care doesn't mean I don't understand.

He’s a lovely player and we’re lucky to have him. Sheff Utd had the better of the midfield for large parts though (peck made twice as many passes), so we didn’t see him at his very best imo. Not that he did anything wrong, but there were on him like a shot any time the ball went near him.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?
