Replay doesn’t seem to be cut and dry, excuse the pun.

I wonder if we will informally agree to let them score at the start of the game as a way to make it "fair"

That sounds reasonable, but on the other hand if the pitch had been up to the normal playable standard required under EFL regs, there’s an obvious question as to whether the scoreline would have been what it was.

What would be ‘fair’ would be us playing with only 10 men from the 51st minute (or whatever time it was when Greaves got sent off), as that wasn’t down to the weather; but doubt the EFL’s capable of that kind of subtlety!

Ok so it’s clear not a “rule” then, otherwise that would all be a waste of time.

There is no rule, that it has to be replayed.
Has to go to league to decide way forward.
Normally results in a replay, but doesn't have to, if blackburn cry enough and make a decent argument they could let it stand.
More likely we replay or at least replay remaining minutes

In no circumstance will they award Blackburn the win.

Let’s not waste time debating that.

Poll: Right, we’ve all slept on it. Let’s settle this?

Maybe they can look at having a pitch with sufficient drainage. The matches at Turf Moor and Old Trafford both survived.

I could be being unfair; perhaps Blackburn got more rain than both. But it seems unlikely.

Poll: Who would you play at right centre back on Saturday?
