Things were much simpler in those days.
I bought a dehumidifier today and it came with the option of using an app to operate it.

Went to a BBQ last month, this guy has a gas bbq and then plugged something in next to it
It enabled him to use his phone to control the BBQ temperature and it told him when it was perfect cooking conditions to put the burgers on etc

Apparently our new washing machine can be controlled by an app. They must be clever apps if they can sort washing, load it, add detergent, take out washing and hang on the line.
It’s pointless tech for tech’s sake as far as I can see. |
I got one when old mach rusted out cos I’d had leg injuries both this spring and last; and the item resides in basement with 10 steps; I could load it when down there for other reasons, then start it later in cheap rate leccy time.
Then discovered the app wouldn’t work cos internet connection down there not strong enough, even though my phone’s fine down there.
