A points a point away from home

Hopefully KM achieved what he wanted from the game other than a hopeful 3 points.

Early games for many. Some look a million miles away some are fine. It's a mixed bag of talent for sure.

Akpom. No arguments with Sammy s starting in the 10 now tbh. Offers more.

Mcateer. Really really gonna have to wait and see what we get with him but can't warm to him. Just doesn't do anything of note with the ball. Lots of huff and puff off it and KM probably likes that but on it he's incredibly painful to watch

Defenders. Thought they did alright tbh. Set piece wasn't great again tho. Not sure who's man it was.

Important match minutes for many. Azon got a feel for what English football is against strong fit players as opposed to tiring ones.

Nunez didn't really ping it around like I expected but then we didn't really move around for him.

Clarke... a roller coaster of thoughts with him. 1 minute your like brilliant the next you wonder why he's playing this level. He really blows hot and cold.. but I do still like him.

But yeah. Tonight wasn't awful. It wasn't great either and it won't be a match spoken about again.

Despite the frustrations tonight there were glimpses of what could be but we showed again we can only hurt teams when we play with tempo.

So yeah

So far I think its best to say our best starting lineup appears to be

Palmer
Furlong
Oshea
Greaves
Davis

Azor
Cajuste

Philogene
Sammy s
Egeli

Hirst

The starting line up for the most I make you right but I’m still not convinced by our right hand side just yet

It’ll come but I really don’t know who’s best at this point

It’s anyone’s for the taking

Spot on. The right side still doesn't function well and means we don't have the space we like to switch it left.

Glimpses is the word, but not enough of them, our standards are high and that falls short of where we need to be..

Got to be much more incisive. A lot of our attacks tonight were doing half of Bristol's defending for them.

The likes of Akpom have got to start reading Davis' surges up field better and getting into the box too.

Agree with much of that. With Akpom and McAteer I think it’s horses for courses, there’ll be games when they suit what we want to achieve more the Szmodics and Egeli and vice versa. Azon and Nunez will take a while to get up to speed for different reasons but I’m confident they’ll come good. Agree with your line up and I think that’s what we’ll start with on Sunday

McAteer does what he says on the tin and he’s doing what he did for Leicester. Does work hard, positionally he’s good and physically but really needs to be better on the ball. Nice little ball in to Akpom for the penalty to be fair but by and large was wasteful, heavy touch, just very underwhelming in possession.

Nunez was poor but he also needs minutes. His first start and it looked it. Not sure Cajuste offered much more when he came on.

Goal was really poor, given the first goal away in all of our away games so far, and they’ve all been shit goals.

Point is workable but performance really left a bit to be desired, thought we were really sloppy and struggled to create too much, especially 1st half.

Summed it up well, nobody is going to remember this game come the end of the season. Some bright spots mixed in with frustrations, we are still very much a work in progress.
