In the last 5 days, within 1/4km of where I live, we've had: - One women shot (survived) - One man stabbed (survived) - A large group of boys pelted with acid, with a major opp to clean them down / find the other lads that did it.
I don't hold with this society's breaking down with violent crime thing, but the above has made me pause for thought.
Has anyone ever looked at their own postings for last day or so? Oh my... so sorry. Was Ullaa
The first two are things that happen in large cities unfortunately, more concerning closer to home obviously. The acid incident seems particularly nasty.

Yeah, when something happens close, it does stop you in your tracks.
You're right about the acid one - something so grim about kids doing this to each other and on one of the most busy spots int he area too, full of other kids at the time of day.

The one example I recall here in leafy no-crime Kesgrave was the schoolboy getting shot in the face by a 'friend' with a shotgun. Was close enough that I'd probably have heard it if I were outside the house at the time. Was in my boys year. Not your typical gang violence, it was friends who'd fallen out over a girl if I recall. Someone forgot the bro code there.

I remember reading about that here - did the lad survive? I take it, he didn't...

I seem to remember some story about Darren Bent and a gun in Kesgrave? I think that was air pistol though!

uncle/grandad/cousin/dad/brother?
Was he a Norwich supporter?
Nope, no family connection - just liked the colours when 9 or 10 (and hated Arsenal at that time, which was my local team). Swansea, I do indeed often go Orient ('we' were robbed by anti-football Charlton at Wembley - I actually hold a grudge to those feckers).

Of all the clubs you could've picked you ended up with that turd. How's your luck, eh.

Good lad. Apart from your awful colour sense, you’re not so bad
