It may be just me , and, no doubt,some statto will put me right, but there seems to be an inordinate number of drawn Championship games this season so far.

I've been thinking the same, but equally too lazy to count up then compare to other seasons!

Does seem to be an awful lot of cagey football, resulting in lots of draws, with that definitely being true in our games.

I believe you are correct which is good for us but equally the likes of Coventry are likely to take one of the top two spots if we don't put 4/5 victories together in a run soon. This league is there for the taking by whoever can win 8 out of the next 10.

just had a quick look at the last 2 seasons (which had very high promotion points totals)

2023-24 25 draws after 8 games
2024-25 25 draws after 8 games

this year 34 draws after 8 games (assuming we beat blackburn in the abandoned game!)

so on that small sample size, it's fairly high...

A lot of rather safe non expansive football out there, the championship season has been a bit dull thus far from the games I’ve seen anyway. Dare I say has even has lacked quality, which is all probably good news in terms his the league is currently shaping up after our fairly slow start.

The games have looked a really poor standard so far (except Coventry). Looking at our game against Bristol, at time we had the ball 35 yards from their goal and nobody in front making any kind of run or space, we looked very slow and unimaginative.

And I can't figure out if it's because the league is crap or good. I have thought that basically all the teams we have come up against bar Sheff Utd have been half decent by Championship standards.
