The Nunez article made me wonder, which countries have town players actually won caps for? I've seen it about which countries players are from, but those to actually win caps not so much.
The home nations, obviously, Canada randomly strong, who else?
And which country have we had the most combined caps for? Loads of Irish players at the moment, a few Scots back in the day maybe, even Northern Ireland.
Just got me thinking on a lazy Saturday morning.

Didn't know that existed, very good. Stops in 2017.
Did we have a Mexico international briefly? I remember Dos Santos playing for them after our season had finished but technically before his loan expired. I counted it.
Tuanzebe played for DRC while with us, Sarmiento for Ecuador, Enciso for Paraguay, Muric for Kosovo, Cajuste for Sweden, Morsy for Egypt, AAH for Iraq. Janoi for St Lucia, El Miz for Tunisia IIRC, Baggott for Indonesia.*
*Not a complete list I'd guess but a few more countries to add since 2017.

Ashley Frank Boatswain has six caps and one goal for Montserrat.
Including loanees, but excluding Town players when out on loan (eg Ogbene), the all time total of full international caps awarded to Town players, now including Nunez, is 910, from 35 countries.
The list of most caps by country is headed by England, with 156 (12 players), then Northern Ireland 129 (11 players), Ireland 125 (18 players) and Canada 121 (5 players). The figures for Scotland and Wales are 61 caps, 6 players and 41 caps, 11 players.
The top 5 players in the list are Allan Hunter (47 caps), Terry Butcher(45), (Craig Forrest (42), Mick Mills (42) and Frank Yallop (38). These figures are for their time with Town only.

Wow, great work. That's amazing and shows how good we were at our peak. 156 caps for England. I wonder if we'll ever have a player play 50 times for their country whilst here. Depending on what's counted Baggott could do, as he's on 24 already, although loans out I assume massively dent that.

I've got Baggott on 19 caps for his time at Portman Road. I thought Tommy Smith might end up as our most capped player, but his Town career seemed to fizzle out. He has 36 caps at Town, 56 in total.
