Why do we play so slow away from home? We have the same ropey defending as at home but with none, absolutely none of the attacking energy. It seems deliberate at this point, like we some how set up to try and defend a point from kick off. | | | |

Beat a shocking Sheffield United 5-0 after they gave up. That was never a 5-0 game. Beat an under strength and middling Pompey 2-1. All but lost at Blackburn. Norwich, they're a bit of a mess at the moment and we weren't exactly convincing.

Biggest concern for me is just how easy it is to play through our CMs away from home. Matusiwa and Cajuste just don't seem to work as a fair in this sort of game.

We’re playing a team who’ve been sent out to get at us, are well prepared and fully coached in exploiting our frailties.
We moaned that Derby and Preston didn’t play fair, stifled our game and wasted time.
They still managed to bag three goals.
This lot could have had a bagful this evening.
On tonight’s evidence, we’re going to need at least two goals to beat anyone with a bit of nouse and there’ll be quite a few Championship coaches looking at this and thinking, not much to fear there. [Post edited 17 Oct 2025 21:29]
