The usual suspects out tonight. 22:11 - Oct 17 with 1499 viewsTheBoyBlue

Do you expect us to win every game? Do you expect us to play brilliantly every time? Lots of people who have very selective memories after recent form.

You talked of a lot of people tol, but if you have the appetite to make these posts every time we lose a game then fair play to you.

If we had gone in 1-0 at HT then it would have been a robbery.

Yep, I couldn't be further from giving up, but the reality (my reality anyway) is we need to improve a lot to meet the club's expectations. We aren't close to Jaden's "game over" territory. There is so much clicking still to find, not just consistency of performances. Continuing the trajectory will see us fall short, no doubt of that in my mind.

Not sure I understand "tol" but I do know I'm tired of those who overreact to every dropped point. I probably shouldn't react to them. But I am worried they are going to drag us down. It's very easy to set a narrative that there is something wrong at the club and gradually it starts seeping into the fan base. We're on an incredibly good place.great squad improving, one of the best managers in English football, an ambitious ownership also prepared to back that manager.

I really feel we are so lucky and whether they are trolls or unrealistic or patient, I fear that some will erode that with the narrative that gets set every time we drop points.

Ridiculous I know and not unique to this club, so I think I ought to just stay quiet.

The problem is there's a lot in that which is an opinion and fair to have one but also fair for others not to share

One of the best managers in english football.. so far he achieved what lambert did and nothing more, had a terrible time last season and thus far hasn't won a game away and not showing any answers to managers adapting during our away games. He's a top young manager, but his pedigree has dropped imo, he can't hide behind having a league 1 squad anymore which wasn't true anyway, he's now had over £200 mill spent on players and hasn't performed with it, regardless of the level involved, it's just how it is. Hopefully though he'll sort it.

There are lots to be positive about behind the scenes however with the training ground etc, that's always something to be positive about.

But you simply can't hide when a clubs spent so much money

We went into games last season saying we will lose this because its.... and the difference in player spend is crazy

we are now that club where we are bringing on players costing more than a whole windows worth of transfer fees for other clubs. You have gelling time, always needed and i've always said november onwards is where I think we will start to shine. BUT thats my belief and i hope im right, as if im wrong I don't think KM will see the season out as you simply can not spend what we have to not be competing for the top two positions.

a niche perspective

All of it is opinion at this stage, which is kind of my point.

Don't let me discourage you, you're far from alone with your view; think you're overreacting to overreactions but that's only one person's opinion.

I don't believe the crowd has been problematic or culpable so far - maybe I'm just fortunate in where I sit - and I don't worry that it will begin to turn yet.

The word I wanted to write was "too".

Don’t be shy, name the “usual suspects”. They can’t respond otherwise.

Thank you.

I am overreacting I'm sure. But I believe we are experiencing a special time at the club. The start of the season hasn't been at the same level yet as our promotion seasons, but overall we are better placed than we have been for decades to build a really special time for this club. Two steps forward, one step forward and all that

I don't suppose a few trolls/unrealistic/impatient fans will ultimately derail that, but it frustrates me that they all come out at the earliest opportunity.

Yes but poor for second goal…. Offside though ..

"Yes but"...

One mistake in an otherwise superb performance; as opposed to how many other mistakes by how many other players ...?
