| The usual suspects out tonight. 22:11 - Oct 17 with 2047 views | TheBoyBlue | Do you expect us to win every game? Do you expect us to play brilliantly every time? Lots of people who have very selective memories after recent form. | |

| The usual suspects out tonight. on 22:12 - Oct 17 with 1554 views | Ace_High1 | Losing is fine but the way we lose, we gift 1-2 goals away every game and tonight most of our players could not control the ball. Very poor considering the calibre of player we have. | | | |
| The usual suspects out tonight. on 22:13 - Oct 17 with 1550 views | Blue_Heath | Won't happen week in week out but for the comparative money spent compared to away teams we've played I expect more than 3 goals away from home and at least one win by now. | |

| The usual suspects out tonight. on 22:14 - Oct 17 with 1526 views | J2BLUE | It was pretty poor. Davis, Cajuste and Philogene were all very poor. I don't have a problem with people saying it wasn't a good performance. All the rubbish about the top 2 being gone is pathetic though. | |

| The usual suspects out tonight. on 22:20 - Oct 17 with 1417 views | Ryorry | I’m not a “usual suspect”. I haven’t seen our defence (with the honourable exception of Palmer) sliced through so easily since Burley’s last managerial game away at Grimsby. Says something that (for me anyway) Palmer was MotM. | |

| The usual suspects out tonight. on 22:22 - Oct 17 with 1382 views | SWLondonBlue93 | Some have overreacted, but let's face it, we've not been good at all on the road, and our record is three wins from nine. Nobody would have expected that before the start of the season. | | | |

He's a usual suspect tbf. I'm confident our more balanced posters appreciate how unbalanced and messy we looked tonight. Slightly reassuring that McKenna saw the many mistakes too.
| The usual suspects out tonight. on 22:24 - Oct 17 with 1341 views | IP1Blue | We’re almost 10 games in and mid table??? Spent £200m and you’re honestly saying.. ‘the usual suspects are out tonight’ - the truth is, it’s not good enough- we haven’t won away from home and it’s mid way through October!!! If you think that’s good enough, then that’s honestly unbelievable! | | | |
| The usual suspects out tonight. on 22:26 - Oct 17 with 1299 views | gainsboroughblue | I accept losing games. Most fans do. What is worrying me though is the way we seem unable to react, adapt and learn. We hear the famous 'gel' words but away from home particularly, it seems to be more a case of whether we have the players on the field for what we are trying to achieve. | |

We were poor in the first half of the second half tonight. Something is clearly not quite right about the team away from home. But some if the reactions as soon as we drop points is incredibly OTT. "Disgraceful", "the board has a decision to make", etc. some people are too ready to downplay the positives and completely pile in when things don't go right.

| The usual suspects out tonight. on 22:37 - Oct 17 with 1219 views | seblue78 | Losing is fine but it’s the manner. We were really poor up until the subs. Boro so much more up for it. Silly mistakes. Positionally all over the shop. all Losing and seeing progress is one thing. But we need to get on top of this away form asap. 4 of the next 6 are at home so 12-15 from that we’ll be in the mix. But that was poor I’m afraid, no getting away from it. | | | |
| The usual suspects out tonight. on 22:38 - Oct 17 with 1205 views | Joey_Joe_Joe_Junior | Our away form in a bang average and the championship is bad. We have stability and have spent serious money, not into all the excuses. Playoffs is not a good return in this league. [Post edited 17 Oct 2025 22:41]

Yes. Palmer was superb & kept us in the game. Our best player, the only one t9 have any credit tonight.
| The usual suspects out tonight. on 22:44 - Oct 17 with 1155 views | BlueOura | Actually yes, I do expext us to win the majority of matches in this division and I certainly expect a certain level of performance, and it was nowhere near that tonight, We have just come down from the prem, have spent a tonne of cash and have one of the most highly rated ( and highly paid ) managers in the country. We are an ambitious club at this level and we should expect to win most of our matches in this division. | | | |

You're citing the 5% of people lashing out in the corner of the room, whose outbursts don't merit shining a spotlight on. It's normal in a large room that a few will lose their heads when disappointment strikes. You'll also find a couple of people gushing with positives; neither is the prevailing narrative. I contend we were poor in more than just the first half of the second half tonight. We posed enough of a threat to give hope that we may pinch an undeserved point, but we looked dysfunctional in parts of the pitch that have been a weakness for much of the season and regrettably there was a lack of effort from at least one tonight too.

And after some adjustment we've won 3 of the last 5..

Yes, I am citing that small minority, which is what I made clear. The usual suspects. Hirst scores and we likely go in 1-0 at halftime. Instead, keeper makes a good save and we concede an own-goal that could've just have easily gone spinning off for a corner. We take the loss and move on, potential 3 points in 4 days time.

You talked of a lot of people tol, but if you have the appetite to make these posts every time we lose a game then fair play to you. If we had gone in 1-0 at HT then it would have been a robbery. Yep, I couldn't be further from giving up, but the reality (my reality anyway) is we need to improve a lot to meet the club's expectations. We aren't close to Jaden's "game over" territory. There is so much clicking still to find, not just consistency of performances. Continuing the trajectory will see us fall short, no doubt of that in my mind.
