Leaving before the final whistle 23:32 - Oct 21 with 1139 viewsBlueDouglas

Trying to remember the last time so many upped and left like that, very sad to see.

Overall very subdued today, didn't help with blue action losing the drum in the first half (?!) and Palmer getting injured, but credit to those who did keep singing

There was a certain irony in that I was expecting our momentum to be broken by their keeper going down and in the end it was broken by our own keeper going down.

Really hope he makes a quick recovery.

3-0 loss at home to Charlton is enough to send people home early. I stayed til the end but get why people left. It wasnt the actual defeat but the nature of it - a real lack of appetite from the players on the pitch and those on the bench (and I sit next to it) didnt really care when the goals went in.
Though, no where near as bad as West Ham

I left on 87 when someone (maybe Ben Johnson?) over hit a cross by 20 yards for a goal kick

It was either leave in disgust or stand there and call them all c**ts at full time.

Poll: Would you take a draw tonight if offered right now?

I left on 87 minutes. The first time I have ever left before the final whistle in 55 years.
Over all those years, I have seen some horrendous defeats, but last night was just baffling to lose 3-0 to a team that looked awful in the first half.
What on earth was going on in the Sir Alf Upper? Heated arguments among town fans, stewards involved. I had had enough.

I think this was my issue. Very obvious it was the crowd, used to seeing a never say die attitude team, not be in a particular hurry to take corners with 5/6 minutes to go.

That combined with road works and an hour plus journey on a Tuesday night.

That second half was the same as 'boro.....for me, just not enough fight in them.

Clarke, Akpom, dare I even say Mcateer were okay, Azon did okay, needs a bit of luck for sure!

Why oh why doesn't O'Shea pass to the ball to Cajuste? It's like he doesn't trust him, countless times I was thinking that.

O'Shea had a bad day yesterday. Really bad.

I have no real issue with people leaving early for a variety of issues, but can we have an unwritten rule of courtousey that you go when the ball is out of play. SBRU 3, people just stopping on the stairwells blocking the view...a tad frustrating.

I walked out as the 3rd went in, once a game gets to 3-0 that's when I'm done

Presume you left the Sheff Utd game early as well once we got our third?

Yeah, winning 3-0 is exactly the same as losing 3-0 and playing terribly.

Leaving early is one thing, continue with this kind of performances and you'll see a repeat of the L1 scenes at the Valley and the Memorial Stadium again.
