Mood in camp? Probably where you'd expect it to be, if everyone was skipping about you'd be concerned. It's then about how you address it. Looked at it openly and honestly. Bits of game we did well, period we didn't. Will be periods in the future and learn from it. Frustration, but determination to go into this game and do better.

Balance of individual and group meetings. Things to do better as a group, but individuals might struggle in one situation, another in another. Believe we've got a good group, belief in the people that we have and everyone wants to push on. A week ago we were looking forward to the Boro game after a good result, best form in the league and we've lost two games. Need to address that as best we can.

Not my first rodeo, going from good run to poor run. I've been a coach for a long time, manager for a good number of games. One area where I'm balanced keeping an even keel. Can only control what comes next. That's well ingrained in me. Deal with bad days as well as possible.

Ryan Mason youth player at end of my time playing, then part of group I started coaching after retiring. Went to tournament with him, good player and will be a good manager. Tough team, WBA, can see the things they do well, what he's brought but also principles from previous years. Ryan has brought attacking patterns. There or thereabouts in every game.

Need fans, going to be massive. Humble enough to know when the second half is as it was the other night, not earned that. But supporters staying with players in difficult spot important. Coming back from a week of adversity can help forge bond as much as a derby win. Will be challenges in game but sticking together will help players and strengthen us overall.

Could have won both Boro and Charlton games, not fanciful, incidents which could have seen us win games. But over the course of a season you're going to have nights like that and it's about how you react to them. Know the start of season was difficult for various reasons, since international break, group coming together, has been smooth, then we've had two poor results. Having the opportunity to speak about how we need to be in adversity, we've had that over the last few days and hopefully those messages have been internalised and there's been agreement on what we didn't do well. Going to be occasions when we go behind, probably haven't lost our last game this season. That will come up again and knowing you can stick together in difficult moments as you know you're team is with you right the way through the game.

'Not my first rodeo....'

Someone's been spending too much time with Ashton.

Want a more settled side? A lot of different elements. We know we've come together late with the group, relationships still being built, not going to be as settled as we'd like to be. As you build your squad, you can look at it in different ways, you have have a core, and there can be benefits to that, or you can have a bigger squad and have two players competing for the position. We've preferred this year to have really good depth, players we trust in to start any game.

In terms of changes, only made significant changes for two matches. Most games it's been a consistent XI and made more changes for midweek games. I still think it was a good performance at Bristol City, not bad result, also helped us get the win against Norwich. Tuesday, do I think we'd have done better if we'd fielded the same team as Boro, possibly, but some of the traits in the second half sames as at Boro. I don't think the issue the other night was changes in the team, we're not going to be fully settled with the changes in the squad. As the season progresses, I think it's more natural that relationships develop really well, players grab a shirt, partnerships same, results can dictate that team is more settled. We've utilised squad off the bench for the most part, and then for the midweek game. If you make changes, it's always going to be picked out. Happy with squad, depth, players we trust, relationships not fully formed. A lot in the mix, understand until we win regularly, going to be a talking point.

Philogene and Clarke, both more settled this year, both much happier playing on left, both can play on right but not as comfortable, not easy to get them into the team at the same time, but with the number of games having them both fit, one starting, one off the bench, is a strength for the team and the group. Aim is to have that in every position.

Palmer loss a blow, but that's the reason you have a squad and Walton has always done well for us. No new injuries. Wes continuing to make progress.

Expectation that team will develop over course of season, as a lot of other relegated Premier League sides have, although taking nothing for granted as some haven't.
