We need Vegas like the good old days! But no doubt it will be Saudi.

I second that! i was in Vegas for the Lewis v Hollyfield title fight with 6,000 plus there from 'Blighty' and would just love, love, love to see thousands of Fabio's fans there cheering him on. Might even make the journey myself!

I was at Ruiz Joshua, MSG in 2019 and Fury Wilder 2 at the MGM.

The buzz and atmosphere on the casino floor was unreal before that Fury win.

Saudi is just meh, well it looks and sounds like from afar anyway but it should be no surprise that boxing has followed the cash.

Fight would likely be in April and doubt Usyk would agree to a true away day as the champ, even though Spurs doesn’t seemed to have bothered him. I imagine this will be in Saudi unfortunately.

However much Hearn and Warren talk it up, the entire spectacle is no where near the same over there for obvious reasons.

I'm in agreement with you. Vegas just seems to outdo Saudi venues in everything apart from the cash prize. picture thousands of Fabios followers in 'Sin City' or Riyadh S.A, a country I worked in for 5 years back in the early 80s.

Sun report on Wardley saying "he would like the fight in Ipswich".

The capacity isn't really the issue, many proper indoor arenas around 20k have held some of the biggest fights of all time.

It's the site fee.

Indeed. The Saudis will pay huge money to stage a fight like this, we can't compete.

I have been to Atlantic City three times but not for boxing.

It's seen better days, imagine if they put a load of high end Casino's a larger Clacton!

South Jersey and Essex are one of the same (I say this in an affectionate way).

AJ Ruiz was a huge upset at the time at MSG, AJ was undefeated superstar and they were building him up in the US for a fight with Wilder. Ruiz was just an out of shape late replacement, that guy can box though, fast hands. Hearn got greedy and AJ got found out, AJ v Wilder and AJ v Fury circa 2018-2020 would have been amazing but never happened and now they are all washed, shame.

Fury Wilder 2 was some weekend, Fury destroyed him, then a few weeks later, Covid.

Would be epic wouldn't it.

"Too big for Portman Road. Wayyy too big for Portman Road" were the appalling words of Wardley's interviewer in the ring after Fabio called out Usyk.
