There is no doubt in my mind that celtic are a much bigger fish 09:09 - Oct 29 with 1040 viewsmuccletonjoe

But in my view , they are in a much smaller pond. The chances of KM going upto Glasgow a fairly slim in my opinion. Short odds second favourite , but I believe there are a few they would prefer in any case.

Seems a possibility, has Phil made any comment? That’s when I would worry.

The only Muff in Town.

I personally can't imagine why anyone would go there to manage or play?? Big club? Maybe to the Scots. Job for Lambert? Not a chance McKenna goes there!!

There’s no denying they’re a huge club even outside of Scotland and of course regular UCL football most seasons.

I struggle to see what he’d gain from going there though. Only one manager this decade has failed to win the title and that was Tony Mowbray back in 09-10. You’re not really improving your CV by going there.

Ange of course got the Spurs job from it but I really can’t see KM getting a top 6 job after that no matter how successful he is.

His best bet is either taking us up and stabilising us or moving on to a mid prem team if he feels he’s taken us as far as he can.

Id say our ownership group wealth compares very favourable with their's tbf but they obviously have a huge worldwide appeal.... their problem though is being the not so opaque glass ceiling that obviously exists by being in the SPL. They are not a project in the way we are id suggest and I see nothing substantially beneficial in managing them unless you have a profile to build. I would say it's a great opportunity if you've been relieved of your duties but I'd be loathe to swap it for a current extremely well paid position with ambitious and well funded owners who have already demonstrated their willingness to support their man.
Just my thoughts.

If he were to go there, then Celtic would have to promise him a very high transfer budget plus assurances on how long he’ll have before being judged - he won’t go there just for the halibut.

Have they got the money?

KM on about £5m pa,then a compo package of a reported £10m
Then he's gonna want a 5 year contract, even if they can afford the above,
costing a fortune in 2 years time when the fans lose patience
Plus he's gonna want a sizable transfer pot

No chance
